Nature Publishing Group
Pay-Per-View

Description
BIO has partnered with Nature Publishing Group (NPG), the foremost publisher of scientific research journals for the life science and other industries, to offer member companies special pricing on a new Pay-Per-View access option for NPG journals. NPG publishes more than 70 scientific journals, such as its flagship publication, Nature, as well as more defined journals such as Nature Biotechnology and Nature Cell Biology.

Using a pre-paid deposit system, which has been discounted for BIO members, anyone within the authorized user base of a member organization will be able to view and download individual articles published in any of the journals on the NPG platform. For a full list of journals, see the NPG website at www.nature.com/siteindex.

Pre-Paid Deposit* Cost Per Article Download*
100 article downloads $2,700 $27
200 article downloads $5,200 $26
500 article downloads $12,000 $24
1,000 article downloads $20,000 $20
2,000 article downloads $34,000 $17

* Euro (€) and UK Sterling (£) pricing also available to non-US member companies.

Please note that if your organization has over 100 R&D employees or if you are affiliated to an academic institution, this pricing and offer is not applicable. To request a custom Pay-Per-View quote, please contact NPG directly by emailing institutions@nature.com

This offer exists in addition to the BIO-NPG site license program, whereby BIO members can purchase full site licenses to packages of NPG journals.*

*Organizations that have an existing NPG Corporate License Agreement for NPG journals cannot cancel it and substitute it with the Pay-Per-View option. Member companies may add a NPG Pay-Per-View option in addition to their existing NPG Corporate License Agreement for Nature journals.

"The BIO Business Solutions program is very valuable to a company, especially now. Everybody is looking to save money in any way they can, and some ways are, frankly, quite painful. This one is a method that is not painful at all - in fact, it is easy. We pretty much do what we've always done; we're just paying less money for the same things. It's a win-win." Matt Pfeffer, Corporate Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, MannKind Corporation
